Middle Years education at St John’s School is continually developing and enhancing. A central goal of middle years learning is to ensure a comfortable transition from Primary schooling into Secondary. During middle years, students will develop rigorous skills and standards to thoroughly prepare them for their later senior years.
Within St John’s School Middle Years schooling, there is a particularly strong emphasis on building and extending our students’ core literary and numeracy abilities. These skills are the foundation for each individual’s pathway to success and their journey to Senior schooling and lifelong learning.
Middle Years subject selection at St John’s School offers a wide variety of core and elective subjects. In years 7 and 8, students have the opportunity to explore a broad range of elective subjects and then select two electives each year based on their interests in Year 9 and 10.
